5.3韵律压过语法例 虽说韵律不是万能的，但也不是完全无能的，需个案研究。（42）就给我们提供了一个韵律压倒语法的例子，如下所示。 （42）Bridge Over Troubled Water When you're weary, feeling small When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all（all） I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough And friends just can't be found Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down Like a bridge over troubled water I will lay me down …… Bridge Over Troubled water是一首广为流行的英文歌，Paul Simon作词作曲，Simon和Garfunkel演唱。由（42）可知，黑体部分不合语法，违反了生成语法“管约论”中的Binding Condition B（Chomsky 1981），I will lay me down应该是I will lay myself down，但为了节奏（rhythm），牺牲了语法。这是一个典型的节律压过句法的例子。 (责任编辑：admin) |
