①Johnson（1987：42-8）列出了七种最常见的动力图式，有强迫（COMPULSION）、阻塞（BLOCKAGE）、反作用力（COUNTERFORCE）、转向（DIVERSION）、摒除约束（REMOVAL OF RESTRAINT）、使能够（ENABLEMENT）和吸引图式。这些图式共享以下特点：在互动中被体验；有矢量、方向性；通常遵循一条运动路径；有动力源，施事将之导向目标；有强度；是理解致使链的一种方式。从而这些意象图式构成了一个复杂的、更抽象的范畴（Cienki 1998；Evans and Green 2006：187-9）。 ②“生意”是一个事件名词，句法上常常出现在轻动词“做”的宾语位置上，但语义上与“考试”“过渡”一样，都表示事件。 ③“赶早饭”有另一种解读，即“赶做早饭”，这是“赶”的  义（见3.1末）。④“赶”在现代汉语中很难直接带处所宾语构成“赶+D”的自由短语，往往要以“到、往、赴”等词作为中介。近代汉语中倒是出现了“赶+D”的自由短语，但似乎也不多见，例如CCL古代汉语语料库中的例子： （i）a.一个当直唤做周吉，一担细软头面、金银钱物笼子，共三个人两匹马，到黄昏前后到这五里头，要赶门入去。（南宋《万秀娘仇报山亭儿》） b.至八月，玄德又赶茅庐谒诸葛，庵前下马，令人敲门。（元《三国志评话》） CCL语料显示，至迟在元话本中，已出现了“赶晚、赶将来”之类用例，我们设想，这样的“赶+  将来”结构应该是从类似上文（1）中的“赶+D”结构经隐喻而产生。⑤或许“规约意象”（conventional image，Lakoff 1987：446-57）也是驱动概念词汇化的一个重要因素，篇幅所限，此不赘述。 原文参考文献： [1]Brugman,C.1988.The Story of Over:Polysemy,Semantics,and the Structure of the Lexicon New York/London:Garland.
